Have you ever used Bluehost or Hostgator?

Recently I heard that both Bluehost and Hostgator are owned by some massive corporation known as Endurance International Group (EIG).

Supposedly a ton of hosting companies are run by Endurance International Group.

But, do you wanna know the worst thing I heard about EIG?

They go around buying up all the smaller host companies. Then they slash them apart.

Laying off staff members. Give up investing in new technology.

Then suck all the money out of the companies to increase advertising and cash to shareholders.

I bet you can imagine, the service goes down the toilet.

This could explain the downfall of Hostgator

In the beginning, Hostgator seemed ok for me.

Whenever I had a problem, the support staff were pretty decent and answered my problems fast.

But then one day, almost overnight, I noticed the service started getting really poor. And many of my websites crashing.

The same goes for Bluehost. At the beginning ok, then the service slowly deteriorating.

Then I transferred all my websites over to Dreamhost.

They were pretty decent in the beginning too.

Then the same crap started happening as well. 

Support staff useless, and my websites constantly crashing.

It got so bad with Dreamhost, that my main income producing website started crashing almost every day.

I had to get out.

I had to find a reliable host.

I felt my chances of business success being sucked dry.

The stress was uncontrollable at times…

I thought it was going to be VERY costly to move all my websites again.

I can’t remember how I got on to Siteground.

But I’m so glad I did.

Is Siteground The Best Hosting Company Right Now?

That’s a tough one to answer. I’ve heard good things about WP Engine. But when I checked them out, they seemed more expensive.

It just depends on what you need.

Right now, my websites are not hitting the capacity to play in the Big League.

Maybe a year from now, once my traffic increases 10 fold, Siteground might begin to struggle.

I hope not. I hope to stick with Siteground for the long haul.
